I've been in isolation for two months, and the situation is slowly getting better. We can go running now, but in the beginning we couldn't go out at all. Since yesterday masks are mandatory. Adults can go out between 6 am and 10 am and between 8 pm and 11 pm. The rest of the time is for elderly and kids. I think that the high death rate in Spain is also a result of the previous economic crisis and its adverse effect on the healthcare system.
I love traveling and I can write from anywhere. Working from home, I really like to go outside to change the setting, so this has been difficult. Flats in Barcelona are pretty small and expensive, so you have to share and don't get too much space for yourself. But I consider myself very lucky because I still have my job, and I am still able to enjoy the sun. I've been cooking more, made my first curry, got into baking cakes. You have to look at the positive side of things!

My two grandmothers are very old. They are doing fine but feeling sad. Because this virus is stopping us from doing things that we love just for a while. But these might be the last years of their lives. And they have to spend this time alone and indoors. Hopefully, I can go see them soon.
Another thing that happened during confinement… I was sharing the flat with two other people. One went to isolate with the family and the other one stayed. We didn't know each other that well, and we bonded a lot during confinement. We are actually seeing each other now! It's been a discovery. I don't know what it's going to be like when we are all out. We've talked about and it will be interesting to finally see ourselves outside too. Go to a restaurant, visit something. It's like we started the other way around, which is crazy. But good.

I think the lockdown gives us a slight glimpse of how convicted people feel. Or people who struggle to have some food. It is lack of freedom for them too because they would love to live under the roof and to have fresh food every day. But they can't access it. So, maybe we can relate to other people better now. Hopefully.
